I see that Boston has released a holiday tune, which has some great guitar sounds on it. This is assuming you like the Tom Scholz sound – I know some folks do not care for his tone at all, but I like it. He apparently still has some of his old “Rockmans” laying around as they appear to be employed here:

Marillion have released a song and even a video to go with it. A proggy version of Carol of The Bells, which I think sounds great. The video can be seen here, as well as a link to the charity to which song sales proceeds are going. I noticed you can also donate and it takes only a couple of minutes online (charity is for one particular family in need)
With regard to Yes, I think Anderson did some great singing on 3 Ships, but the record today sounds painfully dated with all of the eighties drum and keyboard sounds. It would be great if some hobbyist could remix that someday & replace some of those 80’s sounds. Hopefully Squire will spin this record before hiring Roy Thomas Baker in 2014.
The Wakeman record could have been great but I did not really dig the sounds on that one.
I think Squire on the whole came up with the best seasonal record of the bunch – although I have trouble sitting through it all in one session. Also his is the most clever record title and best cover art.
Perhaps Steve Howe would have the best chance of a classic holiday record. He could do some classic stuff with just the Martin MC or Ramirez acoustic and no other instruments. He could also do a couple of tunes with the SH Trio and have that sort of vibe with the ES175, the Hammond and some drums. And just maybe crank things up and do a Gary Hoey-esque rock arrangement, if he does not mind playing just a couple of rock-cliché riffs.
This year I have been spinning the Steve Lukather record “Santamental” which is outstanding in the category. Chops everywhere, with Lukather, Greg Bissonette, Eddie VH, Slash, Steve Vai, Simon Phillips.
