Post by RandgrithrI saw a show at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, I think it was '79 or the early '80s, where they did this as one of the encore songs. Jon seemed pretty pissed off about something, he was like "I'm sure even we can do this right!" I hadn't heard any mistakes in any of the previous songs so I was not sure what he was spazzing about. It was a great show as far as I could tell.

I was at that show - Summer of '84. I great summer night and a very good show, from what I remember. I do remember they did "Gimme Some Lovin" at that show (I don't remember the part about JA being unhappy, but it was almost 30 years ago!)
I thin there was at least one other gig where they did that song. It came off very well - a perfect Tony Kaye tune with that big organ riff. I don't think this YouTube recording is from that tour - it sounds different to me.
I believe that Yes gig may have been the last time they had a rock concert at Forest Hills. The local residents lobbied to stop these events. A shame, as it was a great place for a summer concert.
I remember a comment from Squire at that time, saying he had seen Springsteen and that's where he got the idea for a classic cover tune as an encore. He was so impressed with Springsteen as a performer and noted that Bruce often did covers.
