No, it's not a suprise, but it's still very dissapointing... Yes, without a doubt, deserve to be inducted...

it's hard for me to imagine Yes being inducted at the very same time HSW is still out there pretending to be Yes with their tribute act.

Yes *music* might deserve to be inducted, but Yes...well if that *is* Yes that's been touring for the last five years, then Yes doesn't really deserve any honors at all.

Does this mean we have to endure another year of an induction campaign
by "Voices For Yes"?

I saw that "VFY" thing and thought the idea was pretty funny. I couldn't be bothered to actually read anything to do with it, but I've seen it suggested that the effort wasn't intended as a joke.

Nor did Deep Purple and Kraftwerk. Seems like they chose the worst of the nominees.

Well Ronstadt deserved the nomination... and not just in regard to the sympathy factor for her medical problems... She was a truly talented singer...

And Cat Stevens wasn't wholly undeserving. But to me, the Yes NOMINATION was a bone thrown from the Jan Wenner "cabal." I never thought Yes would actually get in and I don't think they ever will.

And if they don't ever get in, who cares? That says a lot more about the RRHOF than it does about Yes...

Wait, wait, this just in from Chris Talbott at Associated Press:

"As a result, the makeup-wearing rockers [KISS] won't be wearing makeup
or rocking at Thursday's ceremony at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn
when they're inducted with Nirvana, Peter Gabriel, Linda Ronstadt, Hall
and Oates, Yes, Cat Stevens, late Beatles manager Brian Epstein and
former Rolling Stones manager Andrew Loog Oldham, who also is boycotting
this year's show over dissatisfaction with his role."

Wait, who was that? Between Hall and Oates and Cat Stevens?...

Maybe he wanted a sticky bun, or something with sesame seeds?
