After several more listens, New Guy's and Alan 'I'm A Songwriter 'cause I Came Up With Some Chords' White's "To Ascend" in particular has begun to grate.

Lyrically, this side of Greg Lake or the John Wetton Cliché-o-Tron 82, it would be difficult to stitch together a more banal assemblage of platitudinous dreck.

Say what you will, at least Jon Anderson invented his own clichés.

Well, very happily I'm enjoying this album more and more with every listen, the only song that doesn't work for me is "In A World Of Our Own", and that's pretty rare for me, there's always at least 2 or 3 songs on modern-day Yes records that have me reaching for the skip button.

For those following along, for some reason the next preview "To Ascend"
didn't make it to the www.yesheavenandearth.com website as I write this,
but it is on YouTube at:

I also see that the tour, which was originally supposed to start July
8th in Boston, now has added dates for Nichols NY, July 5th; and Albany
NY, July 6th...

...so I guess tour rehearsals start in Nichols on July 5th? ;-)

It did make it up yesterday, but they never posted the correct URL for some
reason.

BTW, I like this one more than the others.

There it is. Thanks. But as of 6/29 they *still* haven't linked it to
the "micro-site" homepage...

Must be the 'weekend shift' on duty at the web team's offices? ;-)
