A very tactical strike of a grander strategy, it seems.
At first, I was ready to write off the European promoters as well, oops, who sues who, etc.
This power grab by RAW*** is unfortunate. Henry's site gives all sorts of information, but I thought that Jon A. sold out his share of Yes. Apparently, the contract was not quite as strict as what he signed when he joined Cinema to become Yes.
I find it hard to believe that Yes was owned by Squire, White, and Anderson, and how things go after the death of a co-owner or partner. That would put Scotty in the power position. Steve Howe didn't own a part of Yes? Only logo rights? That seems bizarre to me.
Well, I only read about "Gong 1" and "Gong 2", but it seems to be the same here. As the Howe lead Yes is due to tour this summer, I am very curious about how the "billing will be done in a means as to not confuse consumers" or some such quote from Henry's site.
***All this promise of "Yes for the 21st Century" and what, they changed the beginning to "Awaken". Major under-deliver.
Bless them both, but this past Howe lead Yes tour was SMOKING.... and does have 2 other previous members of earlier Yes.
Unfortunately, Alan doesn't look great health-wise, and his stand in was great. Years ago I put forth the notion of 2 drummers ala the Moody Blues.
But, expletive. I don't think I can come up with the money for the "Fallen Angels" tour.... I'll make another post before I wind around in too many other circles.
