New Steve Howe interview leads with discussion of the American Rock Hall of Fame.
Further on he comments about current line-up, including the following:

"The nicest thing about [Davison] is he’s a nice person who wants to be where he is," Howe said. "He’s not an egomaniac and he doesn’t want to dominate the world."

It seems that Squire is the one who is often asked about a return of Anderson, and he always says it's possible. Howe is not asked this question as often, but he seems to be saying that this is the only line-up he has interest in.

Seems it takes an egomaniac to know one. They kick Jon A. out of the band and then tout the singer's main credential as being easy to get along with. I could give a shit if Peter Gabriel for example is easy to get along with. If I pay hard earned cash to see a show, the quality of the show is what counts. By all accounts, Paul McCartney can be quite an egomaniac. But I want to seem Paul play not some stand in.
