Well, I was a big fan of Ponty in the 70's. Somehow that material does not sound so fresh to me now. He certainly is a brilliant player. When I saw JA's recent comments that he was putting a band together, I had hoped this would mean a rock band. A few guys who could sing, bring some electric guitars, a Hammond, Moog, some bass, drums and hit the road. Play some JA and Vangelis, play some Yes etc.

If the idea is to record new music, I hope JA really does form a band. Everything since he left Yes sounds like Jon singing on top of someone else's music. Does not sound like people making music together. Yes, the internet has enabled some collaborative benefits, but when folks get in a room and play, there is a difference, in my view.

The band sounds like it could potentially be good, but I agree, that name
is just awkward.

"Inventioning" sounds like a Jon-ism from his "Songbirding",
"Birdsonging", "Singsonging" period... Sure enough, here's his Facebook
note from five years ago regarding Zamran (remember that one?):

Nicely played, Paul. Now I'm a believer.
