It appears that the Jon and Jean-Luc are taking Jamie Dunlap out of the live DVD somehow...seems like a lot of work...Jamie D. could not give the needed time to engineering and mixing the DVD and CD, so they replaced him with Jamie Glaser. Seems like a nice guy, but now the word is that no footage of the DVD will include Dunlap and Glaser will over dub all his parts.

Seems a bit much...

Oh, and it does look like our beloved AMY is on it's last legs...a bit like our beloved band YES...

It's a truism that over time, all band leaders tend towards Fripperesque revisionism. It's an entropy thing.

Or it's the drugs. Yeah. That.

Love these "live" DVDs, with post-production processing that is so extensive that they can basically replace the guy who actually performed at the supposed concert. And people wonder why phonecam YouTube videos of people like Benoit sounded so bad in comparison.

Most that I've seen *look* OK even though I'm sure they have been fixed, but watching Led Zep's "The Song Remains The Same" the guitar solos in particular were just obviously redone, pretty cheesy.

Makes you appreciate SH's playing, he's got a technical accuracy that still serves him well. Slower, though, these days!

Rumor turned out to be just that. Jamie Glaser clarified, he's doing recording for the CD, and filmed in front of a green screen for a video (not the live DVD). So it appears Jamie Dunlap will still appear in the DVD as he did in Aspen for the live show.

Jamie Dunlap/Glaser....
Jon Anderson/Davison...

Time to remake "The Name Game"... in 7/4 with a smoking solo?

Hey, just blowing some hot air to try to keep AMY afloat is my excuse today.
