Bruford Band Live 1979-1980

I’m writing about Bill Bruford’s band. Did you see either version of the
band in concert during 1979 and 1980? I’m especially interested in
eyewitness accounts of the band’s appearance at The Venue in London when
they were appearing with Brand X in the spring of 1980. However, any
encounter you may have had with the band in Europe or the USA is of

We saw Bruford several times in NYC, with U.K. at Central Park and several
different line-ups at The Bottom Line (Allan Holdsworth, John Clark, Patrick
Moraz, Earthworks). I will check for dates and other information at home.

I honestly can't recall ever seeing the first/early Bruford band.

Saw the first Moraz Bruford tour in Philadelphia and was blown away. Semi-small club, occasional name acts.

Saw the near end Earthworks twice. Nervously chatted with him outside (he was smoking!) as I wanted to give him a "PM in Princeton" CD. Massachusetts.

Also saw that band at a sushi place in San Francisco and chatted with the piano player. More another day. Shoot me an email.

I've got a sling on from shoulder surgery three weeks ago, so, too much typing is bad for me now. One handed typing is like slogging through tar.
